See All ReviewsRight away, the reviews look good as an authentic Mexican restraunt, so we tried it. Veronica was very welcoming, she answered our numerous questions about substitutions and add-ons. She was very polite. The gal making the food never changed her gloves as she went back and forth from food handling to the back room to putting things away around the front of house. She was rolling burritos, handling the lettuce, sauces etc.. By the time she got around to making and handling my food, there were no intentions on changing her gloves. I asked if she could and from there it seemed like a big deal. The cook got involved and the three of the employees had to discuss for a minute my request for proper food handling. The burrito desayuno was dry. I opted to not add in the rice and whole beans. Asking if I could substitute potatoes instead of rice and beans were also an ordeal. All sides including cheese, salsa, Pico were all extra costs. The burrito was already $13. It was disappoiting for an authentic burrito to not come with all the usual Mexican sides like, Pico, jalapeños, salsas, etc... I probably wont go back, nor will I recommend this place for a breakfast burrito.
I stopped here on a road trip to get a breakfast burrito and it was EXACTLY what I was looking for. The carne asada tacos were also really good
There are any Mexican restaurants that I really like, but Lucy's has become my favorite. Everytime I visit, I like to try something different and I've never been disappointed. The food is amazing. Their hot sauce is great, but it is HOT!
